Houses that are never advertised

The finest properties on this coast change hands by telephone, between people who already know one another. We keep those numbers, and we walk every house before you see it.

How it works

We visit the house before you do

Photographs on a rental site tell you very little about a Sardinian house in August: whether the pool is in shade by four, whether the road down is passable with a low car, whether the neighbouring terrace runs music until three.

So we go. Every property we offer has been walked by someone in the office within the last two seasons, and what we send you includes the faults as well as the view.

The questions we are asked most

Can we see the house before we commit?

Yes. We send a walkthrough filmed by us, not the agency reel, and if you are on the coast we take you there. For long stays we usually insist on the visit.

Who holds the deposit?

The owner or their agent, under a contract we read first. We tell you plainly what is unusual in it, and we have walked away from houses over deposit terms before.

Can we bring our own staff?

Of course, and we will arrange accommodation for them. If you would rather not travel with staff, we recruit locally and handle the contracts and payroll ourselves.

Give us your dates and how many rooms

We come back with three or four houses, honest notes on each, and what they truly cost.
