Dinner on this coast runs on two services and on relationships. We hold tables from June, so the answer to a Tuesday in August is still yes.
How it works
Most restaurants here run a first service at half past seven and a second from half past nine. The first empties the kitchen quickly, the second is the one people stay for, and it is the one that disappears first from the book.
We hold standing covers across the season at the places we trust, and release them as our guests confirm. If a kitchen has had a difficult week, we will say so and send you somewhere else.
Formats
We do not take a commission from restaurants. What you spend is theirs, and our advice stays honest because of it.
A table at the Promenade or above the marina, second service, with the terrace side requested by name.
Beach restaurants and hotel terraces between one and four, reachable by tender if you are on the water.
Market shopping, cooking, service and a clean kitchen afterwards, for four to thirty guests.
Prepared ashore, brought out by tender at the anchorage you give us in the morning.
Where we send you
Before you write
Often, at second service. Send a message by six and we will tell you honestly what is open and what is worth taking.
No, and the best meals of the summer are usually not there. We keep a list of small kitchens inland that seat twenty people and cook better than the terraces on the port.
Yes. Tell us at the time of booking and the kitchen has it in writing before you sit, along with high chairs, earlier hours and a simpler plate for the children.
We answer with two or three tables that are actually free, and what each evening will cost.
